Finding Hope Through Faith and Prayer

I encourage you to talk to God about whatever you are going through today. Be honest and open with Him about your life as it stands now. Pray more seriously about your needs and ask God to reveal what His will is for your life. You can always choose faith and release it in some way that can make a way for life changes. Prayer is a major vehicle that carries and releases faith. When you find yourself in need, never underestimate the power of prayer. You should pray and ask God exactly what it is you need if you do not know.

Let your first response to any situation be to trust God. If you remain faithful to the Lord and stand firm in your prayer, God will bring you through the trials with inner strength, peace, and joy. Faith is a way of life, and it is a way to build successful lives and relationships too. Doing things according to our own will never works out the same way that God’s will does in our lives. Look to Him for the source of provision in every aspect of your life. Put your prayers of faith in the hands of God, rather than living with fear, hopelessness, and doubt. He is the only One who will give you the confidence to face the challenges you are going through and the grace to overcome them.

Continually confess the Word of God in every circumstance, believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth what God has promised. We must speak faithfully of the things God promises us both in His Word, and in the things that He places in our hearts, before they transpire. During the worst times of my life, God gave me an unshakable faith. I continually spoke of things that He had promised me. With my vision of hope and faith my life began to change in miraculous ways.

When you come to the end of your rope and discover that you have exhausted all other resources, prayer becomes the only real source of hope. Prayer is the key that opens the door to hope, and saves us from our sadness, pain, suffering and loss. Some may view prayer as a last resort, the only hope left, when it should be a first response to handle things that are bigger than we can handle.  Faith moves the hands of God to establish His purpose as our heavenly Father and our saving grace. God listens and He is ready to answer our prayers. All you must do is ask and believe you have received. “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, he hears us” (1 John 5:14).

The Power of Agreement

I believe the kind of prayer that Jesus describes as most powerful is when two or more people come into agreement to pray that His will be done. These are the kind of people who are committed to doing His will and understand God’s promise to give us anything we ask for according to His will. I believe that God is merciful to those who seek Him regardless of their past. God especially honors the prayers of those who pay the price to live in harmony and unity. When it comes to moving the hands of God, it takes the intention of having genuine faith and seeking His will.

The power of prayer multiplies when believers come together in harmony. There are times in life when we are up against things that are too big for us to handle. At such times, we can pray together with someone who agrees with us. This can be a trusted family member, a friend, or members of the church. It is important to seek support and wisdom during difficult times.

Remember that God knows the way before you do and will provide you with all your needs. Your prayer life will be the guide when you trust in His outcome for your life. He will supply you with the resources, wisdom, and ability to endure whatever you are facing. Therefore whenever trials strike, lean into Him with prayer and embrace the challenge for newfound growth. His presence will fill you with peace, hope, love, and courage.

Whatever you are facing trust God with it.

Several Things are Essential for Building a Prayer Life:

  • Make time for prayer a top priority each day (Luke 5:16, Matthew 6:6).
  • Confess your sins to God.
  • During prayer time think about what areas of your life need to change.
  • Keep a journal that contains your prayer requests and how God answers your prayers.
  • Be honest and open with God. Let him know how you are feeling as your life stands today.
  • Be faithful to whatever God is leading you to do (1 Corinthians 4:2, Matthew 25:21).
  • Reflect on God’s Word to hear them speak directly to you (Hebrews 1:1-5).
  • Practice self-control. Guard yourself from your weaknesses and anything that will prevent hearing from God (Proverbs 4:25).
  • Never underestimate the power of your prayers (Matthew 21:22, Mark 11:24).
  • Speak the Word of God out loud every day, as it pertains to your specific needs. Faith comes from hearing and hearing through the word of Christ (Romans 10:17).
  • Be mindful of your thoughts and attitudes.
  • Praise God and Embrace today with hope and joy in His promises.
  • No matter what your circumstances are you can have victory every day through prayer.
