Have you been waiting on God to answer one important prayer? It seems like He has answered your prayers, except for this one. You know the answer to this prayer would be life-changing. Regardless, the situation does not seem to budge.
We can beg, plead, and obsess over what we want. We can even try to bargain with God. We will find ourselves completely drained and wasted, instead of doing what God wanted.
We may do everything we thought we could on our own to reach the light at the end of the tunnel. Anything we do apart from God will not get us there any faster. In fact, the opposite. It will not get us there at all. The more we try to do things our own way, the longer it will take and the more discouraging it can be.
A path of faith requires gradual steps, while facing many challenges and opposition. It may be tempting to find another avenue apart from God, another man-made solution. Hopefully, we realize this is not the way out when we impose this trouble upon ourselves. It is only God’s way that succeeds.
We know the path of the righteous gets brighter and brighter when we do things God’s way, in His wisdom. He has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him. Thus, the world does not supply us with His knowledge, and neither do people’s opinions. The only way to get to where God wants us is by exercising our faith, and living our life His way. We must seek His kingdom first. We must ask, seek, and knock, until the door opens.
A test of patience will reveal what is deep within the heart. The pressure of waiting has a way of squeezing out the underlying problems on the inside of us. Misguided intentions will only hold us back from the final victory. The truth sets us free. So, the same issues should not remain in the hearts of a believer.
It is up to us to examine our reactions. Our responses should align with scripture. This way we can make proper corrections to remain on course. All Scriptures are profitable. They are for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.
We must be completely honest with ourselves. We should notice when we react with fear, doubt, and insecurity. Take notice if our first response is trusting in Him for our lives. Are we to continue on a destructive path of striving for what we want and believe this allows God to work in our lives? Should we give into every whim, or give up when it gets too hard? Rather, we should be praying and listening to the thoughts and plans of God to get to the place He has prepared for us.
God will not do what He has left up to us. He wants to answer our prayers, but we will remain where we are until we understand the lesson. We must allow Him to change our hearts, and change our perspectives to rid us of our underlying issues. We must trust that He is leading us on greater paths of faith. Only then will we receive our prayers and give Him thanks and glory for the victory.
